We supply customized dosing systems for various applications. Together with our subcontractors, we design complete solutions that ensure the quality that our customers expect. A dosing system consists of a dosing pump with accessories, measuring column, documentation and user manual.
Dosing systems
Chemical dosing is used to increase the pH of water and other processes that require an increase or adjustment of water quality. Another characteristic of chemical dosing is that it complexes the metal ion (e.g. Fe2+, Mn2+, etc.), so that oxidation is avoided, and discolored water and turbidity problems do not arise.
Chemical dosing is supplied as 2 types: Krystasil 40, which is often used for surface water, and Krystasil 40R2, which is used for groundwater. Dosage amount is normally from 15-25ml/m3.
Chlorine dosing system/emergency chlorine system
Chlorine is used to create a barrier against bacteriological contamination in water. At smaller waterworks, chlorine is most often used as a reserve barrier against failure of other water treatment components called emergency chlorine systems. Chlorine is usually dosed as sodium hypochlorite (liquid) or as calcium hypochlorite (in powder form). For dosing systems that are only used as a reserve barrier, it is recommended to use calcium hypochlorite, which has a long shelf life.
A dosing system consists of a dosing pump with accessories, dosing container, manual or electric stirrer, documentation and user manual.
Additionally, dosing systems can be delivered complete on a frame solution in stainless steel. The frame is fitted with wheels, and has a handle that makes it easy to move the emergency chlorine system around the relevant areas of use. Approximate dimensions of transport frames are: L= 600mm, W= 750mm, H=1400mm.
If mains voltage is not available, we can offer a complete package for operating dosing systems with 230v, or for battery operation in cases where 230v is not available. Power supply packages contain: 12v 60amp battery, charger, 12-230v converter, dosing nipple, 20m dosing hose and a cabinet for electronics.
Typical applications for dosing systems:
pH adjustment
Fixed chlorination
