Unik Filtersystem is a supplier of water storage tanks and buried water tanks for storing of drinking water. The storage tank is used as a buffer, before the drinking water is distributed to consumers. The main purpose of the pool is to smooth out variations in water consumption and ensure water supply to residents in the event of power cuts or other operational disturbances.
Unik Filtersystem AS supplies water storage tanks in various material qualities and storage volumes.
Buried water tanks:
Buried water tanks are often used when the storage volume is below 100m3 per tank. This type of water tank is produced in fiberglass GUP or PE plastic. Both are approved as drinking water.
Water tank in fiberglass GUP:
Glass fiber GUP (glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester) tanks are used for drinking water tanks, buffer tanks and sludge sedimentation tanks.
Horizontal tanks are supplied with a diameter of 1200-3000mm with a storage volume of up to 100 m3. The tanks are supplied complete with a manhole, ventilation, flange fittings, internal access ladder and air filter. As an added feature, the tanks can also be delivered with a stand for placement on foundations.
Water tank in PE plastic:
Polyethylene (PE) tanks for use as drinking water tanks, buffer tanks and sludge sedimentation tanks can be supplied with or without an integrated valve chamber/pump housing as an extension. The tanks are supplied with a manhole, ventilation, flange connections, internal access ladder and an air filter.
Tanks are produced from profile pipes with constructed pipe walls made of polyethylene (PE) with coiled polypropylene hoses to build the desired ring stiffness in the pipe wall. PE tanks can also be supplied as standing storage tanks, with diameters of up to Ø3000. All pipe penetrations are fully welded and thus tight and tensile-resistant.
Advantages of PE tanks include their ability to withstand significant point loads, and low maintenance requirements. The low weight and simple installation make assembly economically efficient.
GUP Storage tanks
GUP (glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester) storage tanks are delivered with a volume from 100-600m3 and with a diameter from 8 to 12m.
The solution is delivered as a prefabricated element and assembled on site. All joints and base plates are laminated tightly when prefabricated walls and roof elements are installed. This provides a safe and tight solution. All surfaces are treated with approved products that will not compromise water quality. Pools are insulated with 100mm insulation and clad externally with standing timber cladding treatments of your choice.
Deliver comes complete with roof, downspout, pipes, locked hatches and approved air filters.
Concrete storage tank
Concrete storage tanks are supplied with a volume starting at 200m3 and diameter at 8m.
Solutions are delivered as a prefabricated element and assembled on site. All joints and base plates are laminated tightly when prefabricated walls and roof elements are installed. This provides a safe and tight solution. The materials used are fully approved and do not impair water quality. The pools are insulated with 50-100mm of insulation and clad on the outside with standing timber cladding treatments of your choice.
Delivery comes complete with roof, downspout, pipes, locked hatches and approved air filters. Concrete elements are dimensioned for long-term use in accordance with the Norwegian Standard.
Storage tank in PE plastic
Smaller storage tanks can be delivered in PE (polyethylene) as drinking water tanks. The tanks have a diameter of up to 3000mm and a height of approximately 6000mm.
Supplied with manhole, ventilation, flange fittings, external access ladders and air filter. Tanks are produced from profile pipes with constructed pipe walls of PE (polyethylene), with coiled polypropylene hoses to build the desired ring stiffness in the pipe wall. All pipe penetrations are fully welded, and thus tight and tensile-resistant.
Some advantages of PE tanks are their ability to withstand significant point loads. They also do not corrode and require minimal maintenance. Low weight and easy installation make assembly economically efficient.
Valve and pump housing
As part of tank deliveries, there is often an associated valve or pump house.
Unik Filtersystem delivers solutions that are adapted to the customer’s wishes and needs. Our valve/pump houses consist of a site-built or prefabricated concrete basement, and a traditional superstructure with vertical timber panels. A complete delivery will consist of light, heat, stainless steel pipe systems, fittings and pumps with a control panel.
